Large Dog Breeds From Canada

Canada is home to many breeds of dogs. One of them, however, is the most popular dog in the world. The Labrador Retriever is very popular in most European countries, is the most popular dog in the UK and was number one record with the AC (USA) si
nce 1991. The labs are more than twice as popular as the next race appears in the top ten of the AC.

Labs were Newfoundland and worked with fishermen in the cold waters of the island. Later became hunting when taken to England, and are very popular all over the world and are used as guide dogs, therapy dog, assistance dogs, etc. are also pets popular, of course, both because they are very friendly and also because they are great around children.

These dogs are friendly to almost everyone, not considered to be good guard dogs despite their size. And Labs are great. Dogs weighing 30 to 35 pounds (about 65 to 80 pounds), but heavier than what is generally considered obese dogs.

Labs really enjoy eating and are subject to "garbage gut" and obesity. Most dogs must be kept on a calorie-restricted diet, and all dogs need exercise to stay well. If keeping fit generally live at least 11 years.

In addition to obesity, their biggest problem is that they tend to lose a lot, and in warmer areas even dogs shed all year. If you are regularly maintained with a cutting style of the brush, however, the loss of hair around the house can be kept under control.

Since they are so popular all their health problems are well known. Some are prone to hip dysplasia. Others may have a dislocated patella, and dogs can develop arthritis secondary to these problems. Some laboratories have eye problems, others develop chronic ear infections, and some muscle diseases.

Labrador Retriever dog may not be perfect, but there are many laboratory owners in many countries that do not agree.
